In plain English

Schoolory is a product of VNIS Vietnam Company Limited. That company is who you are contracting with, and who appears on your invoice.

You pay us monthly or yearly to run your school on Schoolory. You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you.

We keep the service running and keep your data private. You keep your data accurate and make sure the people you give accounts to are allowed to see what they see.

1. Who you are contracting with

Schoolory is operated by VNIS Vietnam Company Limited, a company registered in Vietnam (business registration number 0106023568) with its registered office at No. 25, Alley 8, Lane 260 Cau Giay Street, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company; "you" means the school or organization holding the account.

Payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record. Your invoice and your bank statement will show Paddle rather than Schoolory - see section 4.

2. What we provide

Schoolory is software for running a tutoring or language school: admissions, classes, attendance, tuition, staff and a parent portal. We provide it as a hosted service - you do not install anything.

Schoolory is software only. We do not teach, tutor, or provide staff to your school, and we take no part in the lessons you deliver to your own students.

We aim to keep the service available at all times, and we publish incidents rather than hide them. Scale plans include a written response-time commitment and an onboarding call; other plans do not carry an availability guarantee.

There is nothing to ship. The service is delivered entirely online: your workspace is created and access opens as soon as sign-up completes, normally within a few minutes and without waiting for a person at our end. There is no geographic restriction on where you can use it.

3. How the service is delivered

Schoolory runs in a web browser. There is nothing to install: any current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox works, on a computer, tablet or phone. The parent app is also available for iOS and Android.

Your subscription runs for the period you have paid for - a month or a year - and renews unless you cancel. Access begins as soon as the workspace is created, which is normally within a few minutes of signing up.

There is no limit on how many devices one person may use at the same time, and no limit on how many people may be signed in at once beyond the staff-account limit of your plan. Signing in on a new device does not sign you out elsewhere.

The service may be briefly unavailable for maintenance. We publish planned maintenance and any live incident at https://schoolory.com/status.

4. Your account

You are responsible for who you give accounts to and what permissions you grant them. Every account should belong to one real person - shared logins make the audit log meaningless, which hurts you before it hurts us.

You must tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

5. Paying

Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and handle sales tax and VAT.

Payment is by card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB - and, where Paddle offers it for your country, by PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or local bank transfer. The methods available to you are the ones shown on the checkout page for your country. We never see or store your card number.

Prices shown on the pricing page are in US dollars and do not include VAT or sales tax. Any tax due in your country is calculated and added by Paddle at checkout, and appears on the invoice they issue.

A failed payment does not lock you out immediately. We email you, and your workspace keeps working while we retry.

If payment still fails after that sequence, the subscription ends and the workspace becomes read-only. You can still sign in and export your records. From that point the same 30-day retention window applies as for any ended subscription (section 7) - we email the account owner seven days before anything is deleted, and paying reinstates the account at any time before then.

Monthly plans can be canceled at any time and run to the end of the period you have paid for. Annual plans run for the year purchased.

Refunds - including the 14 days after your first payment, and billing mistakes, which we always put right - are set out in the refund policy at /legal/refunds.

6. Your data is yours

You own everything you put into the system. We process it to run the service for you and for nothing else - no advertising, no selling, no training models on it.

You can export students, classes, invoices and payments at any time from inside the app, as CSV or JSON, without asking us and without a fee.

For records the product does not yet export on its own - attendance and staff among them - ask us and we will send you the data within 30 days, also without a fee.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to send unsolicited bulk email, to store data you have no right to hold, or to break the law in your country or ours.

Sending limits exist on every plan. They are there to protect the deliverability of every other school's email, not to upsell you - if you hit one for a legitimate reason, tell us and we will sort it out.

8. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete the database entirely.

We may suspend an account that is being used to break section 6, or that has not paid after our dunning process has run its course. We will always email the account owner before we do.

9. Liability

We are liable to you for direct losses up to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will email the account owner at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

The same 30 days applies to price changes. If we change what a plan or an add-on costs, we publish the new prices and email the account owner at least 30 days before they take effect. A price you have already paid for does not change mid-term.
